Arjun Reddy is 2017 Telugu coming-of-age drama movie directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and stars Vijay Deverakonda Sai and Shalini Pandey in prominent roles. The Cinematography is done by Raju Thota, edits by Shashank and Music by Radhan. This movie got released after few controversies and it was successful in theatres. It gained a cult status among youths and also is one of the best Telugu movies in this year.
Plot:
* Arjun Reddy, a MBBS student who has anger management issues fall in love with first year student, Preeti and the consequences he faces because of his love and the anger management issues that completely transforms him.

Performance:
* Vijay Deverakonda Sai as Arjun Reddy lived in the role. This is his career best performance. He emoted the emotional scenes as well as anger scenes well. Good mature performance. He improves his performance level after every movie.

* Debutant actress, Shalini Pandey as Preeti was good performance. Her acting doesn't seemed like she's a debut actress. Her combo scenes with Vijay synced well and lived in the role.
* Rahul as Shiva who enacted as Arjun's best friend did his role well. He did enough screen space to showcase his natural performance. He wasn't a regular sidekick friend which usually seen in regular Telugu movies, hence his performance felt some freshness and reality.
* Other actors who weren't that much familiar but was apt for the movie and did their level best.
Technical Aspects:
* Written and Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Firstly, kudos for the bold attempt to make an out-of-the-box Telugu movie which had a great impact among audiences. His direction was fine and he showcased few scenes in a Hollywood style and most scenes seemed realistic and non-cinematic approach. The narration of script is a direct approach, linear way, straightforward script. The main positive of the script was the raw and realistic approach that attracts an attention of the audience. If you began to watch this movie carefully from the beginning, you will be evolved into the movie. Even though this movie has a duration of three hour, it won't be so boring. Usually movies with drama genre has lagging scenes so deal with it when you are watching this.

* DoP by Raju Thota was . His shots had a cinematic, raw, freshness and non-fictional approach. He tried some good frames and shots which weren't that much familiar in Telugu movies. He was sticked with director's vision (screenplay) and that's evident in the movie.
* Shashank's edits were apt and fine. Even though the running time of the movie is a drawback of the movie, his cuts and transition didn't make it so boring an lagging.
* Music by Radhan was good. The breakup song was the best song among other songs. The background music was used efficiently that didn't overshadowed the whole movie.
* Other departments of the movie did their part well. Special mention to the production designer.
Final Word: If you want to watch a well-crafted unusual Telugu movie without much commercial elements, then watch Arjun Reddy. It will definitely satisfy you, as a moviebuff.
