Plot:
Shaji Paapan and Team want to retain their club called Winners Club, so they decided to participate another tug-of-war contest. Meanwhile, another huge conspiracy is going to happen. And how demonetisation gives them a huge impact on their plans, follows the crux of the story.
Performance:
* Jayasurya as Shaji Paapan again gave a solid performance. He retained his mass look - that trimmed moustache, designed lungi and kurta and a pan-eater. His comedy timings and mass scenes were appreciable.
* Vinayakan as Dude was another gem in this film but his role was comparatively short than its prequel.
* Dharmajan as Captain Cleetus and Saiju Kurup as Arackal Abu did a praiseworthy performance. Their comedy timings were good and managed to keep the audience into splits.
* Sunny Wayne as Sathan Xavier had more screen space to act in this sequel and much importance was given to him as well. Vijay Babu as SI Shameer aka Sarbath Shameer also did a good job.
* Other actors from the prequel and new additional actors did good performance throughout the film.
Technical Aspects:
* Written and Directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas did a great job. No one expects a great storyline for watching Aadu except entertainment. He maintained that expectations into certain level. He managed to entertain the audience at maximum level and one-liner dialogues did made an impact in the film. Unlike the prequel, he made the screenplay into more big canvas within short budget and succeeded in delivering a good content. And he retained the mass scenes of every major characters of this film.
* Kudos to the producer Vijay Babu for producing this film. Only a few producers has the gut feeling to produce the sequel of a cult film which wasn't successful in box office. He made the sequel into more richer look.
* DoP by Vishnu Narayanan was good. His shots were pretty good but the drone shots and the long angle shots was lacking a bit clarity. But that doesn't deviate the attention of audience towards the film.
* Editing by Lijo Paul was crisp and sharp. His cuts and transitions were pretty good and made into more entertaining. He too had a crucial role in keeping the audience glued throughout the film.
* Music by Shaan Rahman was overall average. The tug-of-war song was an extension of the song of prequel one and the dance bar song was above average. The movie majorly scored on background music. He has still maintained the mass of major characters.
* Other departments did their job well in this film. Minimal VFXs and Sound designing especially deserves a special mention.
Final Verdict: Watch Aadu 2 for best laughter riot of this year. You will definitely enjoy this comic relief.
