Kammara Sambhavam Movie Review

Kammara Sambavam is a 2018 Malayalam period political satire drama movie directed by debutant Rathish Ambat and written by actor Murali Gopy. The film starred Dileep in title role, Tamil Actors Siddharth and Bobby Simha, Murali Gopy, Swetha Menon and Namitha Pramod in lead roles.

Plot:

ILP Party (Indian Liberation Party) wants to get fame among people in Kerala. For that, they choose to make the history of party's old member Kammaran's, (now aged 96) history as a mainstream film that is gonna direct by Tamil director Pulikesi (Bobby Simha). What's the history and what happens next is the crux of the film. 

Why Should you watch this film?

° Dileep's strong performance as an anti-hero and Siddharth as tit-for-tat to Dileep. 

° Rich visuals, good direction that justified the script, best script, background musics, and more. 

° One of the best Visual effects in Malayalam Cinema after Pulimurugan (2016).

° Murali Gopy's script after Tiyaan, Left Right Left and more. The movie fictionally deals with Second World War and Kerala Politics as well.

Performance and Technical Aspects

° Dileep as Kammaran Nambiar just nailed as the lead. Probably this is his one of the best performance. He just synced within the role. You can see how easily he portrays the lead role in various ages. 

° Siddharth as Othennen on his debut Malayalam Movie, did a good performance in this movie. A perfect rival for Dileep. He dubbed for his own and did it perfectly. 

° Other actors did their part well especially Murali Gopy and Namitha Pramod. 

Kammara Sambavam Video Song

° Direction by debutant Rathish Ambat and Script by Murali Gopy are the real heroes of this film. Both of the departments worked out well in this film. Direction is flawless and succeeded in bringing out his best in an extraordinary script. Murali Gopy's script is well-written and it's quite untold one. The connection between over boosting of history for some people's benefit and conspiracies of truth that took place is fantastic. The movie is literally doesn't lay in single genre. It has fiction, satire, black humour, drama and romance. 

° DoP by Sunil KS and Editing by Suresh Urs did a neat job for this movie. The rich visuals and crisp editing made this film entertaining. 

° Music and Background Score by Gopi Sunder did a perfect job. The three songs and background music scores were placed well and supported the entire movie. 

° Other technicians like VFX (DigiBrain), Sound Designing (Resul Pookutty), Production Designing (Banglan), Make-up (Roshan NG) and Costume Designing (Sameera Saneesh) did their job well. 

 

Final Verdict: Kammara Sambavam is one of the best Malayalam Movie experience. Not everyone's cup of tea. But watch it out...!!! #mustwatch
